J. Anthony Movshon

Professor J. Anthony Movshon is a Cambridge University graduate, having obtained his B.A. in 1972, and his Ph.D. in 1975, under the supervision of Colin Blakemore. Since 1975, Professor Movshon has been a faculty member at New York University, in the United States. He is currently a University Professor and a Silver Professor in New York University’s Center for Neural Science.

Professor Movshon has received the António Champalimaud Vision Award (2010), was elected to the National Academy of Sciences (2008), and to the American Academy of Arts and Sciences (2009).
